Is this what we have to look forward to in government run healthcare? |
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - The Veterans Affairs Department is investigating whether there's a link between a patient's positive HIV test and unsterilized equipment that may have exposed thousands of veterans to infectious diseases. Guys - cutting a budget should have nothing to do with how clean a hospital is. This is just shear carelessness. And do you realize what the greatest risk at all hospitals is? (That includes government run as well as public and private hospitals). Simple staph infections kill thousands of people every year. Hospitals have policies to reduce the risk but the problem remains. It's not a question of state run versus privately run. The risk is the same. Totally... everything that becomes Government Regulated gets screwed up. NOTHING run by the Government runs efficiently. We have the best health care in the world, now. Yet it is too expensive. But the Insurance Companies have a lot of money. I think we need to have it so we can go across state lines for ins. and then competition would bring down the costs. We need affordable health care NOT Socialized Medicine!! I hate (naw, actually LOVE) to burst Magoo's little brain but he's way wrong...(typical neo-con liar.) Look at how the government runs the Food Stamps program. 1 in 3 American blacks is on Food Stamps. Gee I hope it is just like the DMV, they run things so smoothly and efficiently. I mean if they can't be trusted to do that correctly why wouldn't I want them making my life and death health care decisions FOR ME? Everything is better with govt. paid bureaucrats! Yes, because the current system is so much better (sarcasm): http://wcbstv.com/health/hepatitis.scare... No one is proposing completely government-run health care, but I do expect our veterans to have better care taken of them. Mmm, well BUSH and CHENEY cut back Veteran's Affairs so much I am not surprised that this happened. Obama and Shinseki are going to return funding where it belongs--taking care of our troops and veterans. You want the goverement in as little as possible at all times, wait till these goverment owned banks start taxing you without representation. The republicans in power have shat over our veterans and denied them benefits and up to date equipment for decades. What is the issue here? Bush cut the VA's budget so you can thank him for that. Well the liberals all think Michael Moore thinks communist health care in Cuba is better than we have here, so that is there source for "information" Im going to the local witch doctor when the **** kicks in. I don't want the government having that information. hmmm socialized medicine sounds like a great plan! (sarcasm...) This took place during the Bush administration. It's a shame Bush decreased funding for the VA... this is what happens when you cut spending. sure PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET IN A COUNTRY WHERE THERE IS GOVERNMENT RAN HEALTH CARE EVERYONE PAYS TAXES |
