Am I mentally ill ? do I need treatment?

Whenever this idea comes in my head 鈥渕y face is going to flush right now鈥?. it dose !! and people keep asking me why that happened suddenly..
when someone talks about a girl having HIV my face flushes, because I have this idea in my head that she鈥檚 talking about this girl and if my face flushes it will mean that I鈥檓 having HIV, and because I don鈥檛 want that to happen I act as if I was really hiding something and my face flushes as a respond.
I鈥檝e been having this for 7 years, and that made my life miserable鈥?br> Also I had a history of believing that people are avoiding me because I stink.. for about 6 years but it disappeared.
Is this a serious problem? What shall I do? Am I prone to develop complications, worsening, reappearing of my condition?
ps: I haven鈥檛 been under drugs. I also suffer

i also suffer from depression + mood shifts

You might need to talk to a professional not because your crazy because your clearly not but it will probably answer a lot of your questions.
HIV is something bad of course but it can't be transmitted by just talking about it. So don't feel like it will get in you just by saying it, or seeing it.
but i suggest you should go to a therapist because it helped me with my life. Good luck to ya!

This sounds like an OCD. Like when i tell you not to think about a nice ripe juicey zesty lemon cut in half....the chances are that right now that is what you're thinking about??
The more youdon'tt want to do something your body reacts the opposite way. You know that logically it makes no sense but your brain over rides logic.
Have another chat with your doc as this shouldn't be worrying and controlling you the way it is. The treatment might be as simple as talking with someone but give it a go.

Sounds like you have a chemical imbalance that hasn't been diagnosed properly. Talk to your psychatrist, he or she is the only person who can correctly diagnose you, no one here can.
