The Nicholson's went to the laboratory to discover how to treat this. They found that an antibiotic called Doxycycline was the most effective. The United States military will not allow military members under their control to have Doxycycline or VA hospitals to dispense Doxycycline.

I'll put in an answer, but I suspect many won't like it.

1. Last things first. If you check actual clinical trials, you'll find that dox ends up being about as good as a sugar pill in treating Gulf War syndrome. Check the net yourself, but be careful to steer clear of rumor sites and conspiracy sites. ook for serious medical information.

2. Mycoplasma is one of the more difficult organisms to treat.

3. There have been a number of books out to "prove" a great many claims surrounding HIV including but hardly limited to the idea that it was started by the government as a genocidal tool. (An example of some of the other claims would be found in a book I was handed by a fundamentalist "proving" that HIV really was started and spread by the homosexuals as a manifestation of God's Will. The book seemed very credible due to it's author's suppsoedly being a CDC doc involved in the work to identify HIV in this country when it first appeared. A careful look at the man's actual role showed that he was in fact without any medical education and merely held a low level job handing out and collecting surveys for the CDC.)

The rampant silly season junk found on various web sites of this sort cab become downright dangerous when it gives out so much misinformation it blinds people to the realities as well as to what matters in these cases. Often people make exaggerated or utterly flase claims to their own credentials, speak "knowledgeably" about things they don't know anything about, etc. My favorite idiocy was the rhetorical question on one site asking who had ever heard of a disease in one species going into another...oddly he had no idea what a zoonotic was.

Are there biowarfare labs out there? Yeah, and they're in a lot of countries besides the US. If you don't like it, do something useful. Inform yourself of the facts and start writing your congressmen and women. Form a whole group to write them. Hold peaceful protests. Get the media involved. Take some action other than buying into silly season crud.
