Is this correct? EASY 10 points!?

Please correct the sentence below if it is wrong. This is an easy 10 points. And when I say WRONG, I mean scientifically incorrect. Thanks for all the help!

After developing AIDS, the infected person may have treatment to help reduce the amount of HIV in the body.

Yes, there are medications that will lower the viral load (amount of virus in the body) to almost undetectable, and slow down replication of t-cells in the body.

Its true, treatment will reduce the hiv virus level, below 500or even undetectable.

This isn't quite correct.

You can treat someone after they have been infected but before they actually develop HIV disease (preferred name in the medical industry). So yes, you may treat someone after developing disease to help reduce the amount of virus present in their system. You may also start treatment before disease is developed depending on their physical condition and risk factors for disease development (cd4-T cell count). It is true that at present, unless someone develops one of the signature diseases, they tend (but sometimes do) to not treat (the treatment can be incredibly harsh on the system) but the general statement would be a bit more accurate if you say:

A person infected with HIV may be treated at any time to reduce the amount of virus present in their system. However most people are not treated until their CD4-T cell count has been reduced below 350 or they have developed one of the HIV related opportunistic infections.

Hope that helps.

Yes, that is correct.
AIDS refers to a condition in which the individual has a low CD4 cell count less than 200/mm3 or when the individual has a higher CD4 cell count but has an AIDS-defining illness like PCP.
HIV on the other hand refers to the virus and anti-retroviral therapy can be used at anytime to bring the viral load down i.e. reduce the number of viruses in the body even after the individual has developed AIDS.

you are correct.

the answer is true,,,with the help of HAART meds taken consistently you can lower your viral load
