Is there any remote chance for the cure of AIDS & HIV in the near future? Or distant future for that matter? |
What are the current treatments for these terrible viruses? I pray one day all such infected people to be cured. Amen, God bless ! there will be medicine in the distant future but if we control there is no need of medicine I hope so too...There are few news on net which claims that the first phase, where the person gets infect can be controlled with the help of new drug...Im not sure how true it is.. I'm sure a sarcastic answer such as the first person who answered your question is not what you are looking for in an answer. My answer is; yes there is hope, Scientists research everyday to treat H.I.V, A.I.D.S, Hepatitis, genetal herpes, Cancer. We may prevent HIV in another 10-20years by developing vaccine. But the best is avoiding unsafe practices.Only God knows about when there will be cure for the HIV. Future is what it is, the future. it would be nice if they was, but right now there is a lot of money to be made from treatment of hiv, the cost of hiv meds is around $1500+ a month, and that is just for meds. Oh yes, in fact they have almost came up with one. But the thing is there are so many people that are HIV positive in the United states that this is difficultto accomplish. 1,250,000 people every year are told they are HIV posictive in the United states. Being an expert in Infectious diseases, this disease has spread from a homeland disease in Northern Africa, to a worldwide epidemic. Yes, i pray they eventually come up with the vaccine, but as i said it is extrememly difficult. We now know that HIV attacks the cells and takes control of their growth by multiplying HIV infected cells and destroying the immune system. We are now trying to make a medication now where this cannot happen. But cell proteins change all the time, majking this very very difficult. Plus, uninsured patients at hospitals who have HIV or AIDS for that matter, get healthcare and this rises our healthcare costs even with insurance. Insurances like Anthem, Medical Mutual, ect; rise our premiums and hospitals have to make up the loss of money from these patients so they charge us more. Healthcare rises 19% each year, mainly because of people with AIDS. |
