Hiv????????? |
I'm doing research on this. I just need to know what treatment is like for a child born with this condition, who is at like 5 years old. Curable? Obvious that they're infected? Normal life? Do they need to go in for medical treatments periodically? And how about for a young adult (22)? Thanks! It depends.. check on the CDC website It's dangerous to assume that a newborn is HIV positive. With education and preventative health care, the number of HIV positive newborns in the United States has declined from a high of 1,760 in 1991 to as few as 280 in 2000 (even with known HIV+ mothers), the CDC reports. |
