If hospitals receive government funding, could they be held liable for the HIV scandal?

Rev. Wright asserts that HIV was isolated/created by the US government with the intention to infect the disenfranchised (presume: African American). He also asserts the US government is withholding curative treatment. If this is the case, can we sue all of our government-funded (via Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement) hospital systems? I say, go for it. Let's start with Michelle Obama's hospital.

Munya: It's called a *theoretical.* Figure it out. As a physician, I find it socially irresponsible that a *hospital* is paying 375K/yr to a woman who must believe Wright's ludicrous take on HIV --she's been a major player at that church, patronizing it for 20 years. Has she spoken out specifically against Wright's stance?

NO

1. No. There's no link between government funding and HIV infection.
2. You can't take Reverend Wright literally. That's like reading Dr. Seuss and expecting the Lorax to come out of the tree. Please.
3. No, you can't sue the government if you have HIV--unless, of course, it was someone who works for the gov that gave you the HIV...hmmmm...
4. Michelle Obama has a hospital? Where is it? Is it Michelle Memorial Medical Center? Obama Orthopedic Office?

Get real, get over it and join life.
