Could ne1 give me details on euthanasia as a treatment for HIV?

anywheer i could find details on this or ne of you helpin me with some useful tips..

omg i dont hav aids...im doin a debate on skool, and i dont believ in it either..but im debatin FOR it to be legalized..so help..

Do you know what euthanasia is? It's certainly NOT a "treatment." It's a doctor killing a patient. I do believe in it, but it's still illegal. My father had kidney cancer and it metastasized through his body. My sisters were there (I was 5) and the nurse came in and gave him a big dose of morphine. 15 minutes later, the doctor came in and asked how his pain was. "Bad" my father said, so he gave him another big dose of morphine. My father went to sleep, and never woke up. God bless that doctor.

The reason you are having trouble finding info this is illegal in all states except Oregon as far as I know.

Although I personally believe in it...it is still illegal. I wouldn't advise anyone to offer you advice, but I do offer you my sympathy. Aids is a horrible disease, and the ripple effect it leaves in its wake is unreal. I hope you or your loved on are having a good day today.

Euthanasia is not a treatment. To euthanize literally means assisted suicide. So if someone is going to to get euthanized it means they are going to die.

Why would you say as treatment why wouldn't you say as a last resort.. It goes against God..

I've found several websites:
www.hospicecare.com/Ethics/hiv&aids.ht...
www.hawaii.edu/hivand aids/links_physicianasstsuicide.html
mindprod.com/humanrights/euthanasia.ht...

and the big link:

Wow...now that IS a question...

Instead of euthanasia, it is called "Death with Dignity" in the state of Oregon. Though you are asking about people with HIV, I assume you really mean those with full blown AIDS and in a terminal condition.

You can go to the state of Oregon Web site for more information.
