Is the treatment for hiv in south africa good comparing to the UK one?? |
I just want to find out if south africa has a better hiv treatment than the United kingdom.. if the treatment in south africa is not that good, could you explain me why?? and why is the treatment in the uk better?? i was having an argument with mates about this today and i just want someone to clarify me this.. thanks HIV treatment is absolutely abysmal in nearly the entire African continent, and it is worse in sub-saharan Africa. South Africa's HIV health care is not as bad as the rest of the continent, but it is nowhere near the level it should be. there is about one doctor for every 1,300 patients. while england has about 400 patients per doctor. more importantly, the effective medications simply are not available in south africa. if you are having difficulty affording food and shelter you will not be spending a couple thousand us dollars a month on medicine. |
