How far away (in terms of time) are we away from a cure/vaccine for HIV and AIDS?

Will there ever be one?

I'm sure it will be a long way. Look how long cancer has been in our lives and how far we have come, and yet how far we have to go. I have to feel we are similar with HIV.

A long way away, The only way to prevent it is for all sufferers to totally abstain from sex for the rest of their lives.

dels replies-haha very funny, well i am sure a cure will be found one day, trouble is the virus keeps changing itself. If not a cure, then a vaccine will be found, the meds are so much improved now, every year they seem to be getting better. As for advice, my only can be wear a comdom or make him wear one, its just not worth the risk

it will be done but somehow i doubt that this will happen in the near future - 20-30 years most likely

dont he sex = no HIV and no AIDS

simple pimple

good luck
