Would you want your child to get an HIV vaccine, assuming it is completly safe and it works 100%? |
Considering the response to the HPV vaccine, I was just curious about what people would say to this. to untameable, it is a good point. Studies have actually shown that HIV is weaker in the US than in africa because infection rates are much lower and the person needs to live longer to infect somone else.(from the hiv point of view infecting more people is a good thing) Yes. Anything can happen from getting exposed to infected needles or chosing a infected partner. Its better to be safe then sorry. And I would also get the HPV vaccine. Why are people so stubborn about such great medical results? If there were an HIV vaccine, I would want everybody to get it. I don't see why anybody would want someone to suffer from that. Assuming that it's completely safe and works 100%... yes. In fact, if there were such a vaccine, it should be mandatory. Sure, why not? well probably, i mean why not remove the last remaining population control. we always need more people in the world. What happened to monkeys, rabbits and rats, all extinct. Of course I would, why would I want to be at risk of HIV?! I already got the vaccine for HPV. I'm 15. I don't think I like the sound of that. Here is why. They say that the Chicken Pox vaccine is completely safe as well. But, there have been a few cases reported where the child has become very ill from it and died. The HPV vaccine does not work 100%.I would be in favor of a HIV vaccine that worked 100%. Yes of course. If I was a parent I'd want to protect my children in all ways possible. I know this sounds insane. We as a whole society and world are getting biologically weaker. We are coming out with vaccines to more and more things. Like getting Chicken pox when you are young is no big deal, very few kids die, or were permently hurt. But it does build up your immunity, they are better off to get chicken pox. With HIV it is a different story, that has a guaranteed chance of death. I think they should, if they develop one, vaccinate all kids. yes. I'd hope my children (or anyone else's) would enjoy what life has to offer. I'm pretty sure I would. Why would you chance your children's life to a horrible disease when you can prevent it? This has nothing to do with sexual promiscuity to me. Your child could be raped by someone infected with HIV, or what if in the future they are married and their spouse commits adultery and gets infected with HIV? If your adult child has unprotected sex with their own spouse they could get infected, too, through no fault of their own, since they are married and having unprotected sex is acceptable and normal. Of course I would. I'd also get one. I think just about everyone would want one. There would be people lined up, just like when the polio vaccine was first available. Of course. yes. |
