Is an Effective HIV Vaccine Feasible?

A vaccine is feasible, however it is not going to be ready anytime soon. I think the current focus is on solutions such as gels which will prevent the pread of the disease. That is in the near future.

Although AIDS researchers have turned HIV inside out and carefully detailed how it destroys the immune system, they have yet to unravel which immune responses can fend off an infection. Yet AIDS vaccine researchers have solid reasons to believe they can succeed.
