How far off was Rev. wright about the AIDS ISSUE?

As for the AIDS comments, Rev. Wright brought up the possibility of AIDS being used against minorities in this country. Is that really far-fetched considering the U.S.A. has sanctioned the following things: slavery, Jim Crow, medical experiments on blacks where medical information and drugs were withheld with the known risk of death or permanent injury?

The only legitimate debate concerning Wright is whether or not you agree or disagree with the aftermath and prevalence of past and present racism in the U.S.A.

While remarks about the origins of HIV by Rev. Jeremiah Wright may seem incendiary to many, they are commonplace in inner-city communities severely affected by the AIDS epidemic.
According to a 2005 study by the RAND Corporation and Oregon State University, nearly half of the 500 African Americans surveyed said they believe HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is man-made. Approximately 12 percent said they believe the U.S. government created and intentionally spread HIV and 16 percent said they believe HIV was created to "control" the black population.

Not at all, AIDS has a patent, it was made in a lab. In PNAC, Rebuilding America's Defenses Cheney says that "advanced forms of biological warfare that can 鈥渢arget鈥?specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm
of terror to a politically useful tool." Page 60 of Rebuilding America's Defenses, links provided.

"The government lied about inventing HIV as a means of genocide against people of color!"

No "may have"
No "I wonder if"
No " I suspect"

It was stated in it's most absolute form!

AND in 1980, we did not have the technology to invent a virus!

And wouldn't it be the stupidest way to commit genocide by inventing a STD? It would easly cross over into other races, as it has!

This is a completely assinine theory & I pray you are wrong about 12 - 16% of blacks believing this crazy theory!

I think that, despite AA beliefs about AIDS, the government is not causing black people to have aids.....however, since the government has allowed black people to die on their watch with the whole syphillis incidents.....and lied to them all the while, I think it is completely justified for many black people to feel this way. I just don't think it does much in the way of progress or unity with white americans.
