HIV-does it need a live host? |
If a person is infected with HIV and they die all of a sudden, does the virus die? I mean, if the person is dead, their blood cells are dead too...so does HIV need a live host (live host cell and live host body)?? Hiv can only live without a host for a short time. although if a person dies, the hiv will still remain active for a period of time, hiv can live out side of the body for up to 4hrs and that is because of contact with the air, I would say it would last longer inside a body, dead or alive. Yes, HIV needs a live host in order to survive. its dead when the person is dead..so no need to worry about them spreading.. just let them r.i.p. |
