I had a pap smear and it came back abnormal. she said there was something on my cervix |
though it was mild Girl I'm in the same boat you are to an extent. I found out last week I had abnormal results, and I go back next week for a colposcopy. I am scared out of my mind! I'm reading up on a lot of it online, and that is honestly putting my mind to ease about the severity of it. I'm not saying it isn't HPV or something, but it is really easing my mind. No HPV is not the same as HIV, if you are looking for more information, I suggest webmd.com That's the site that's helping me out. I've also had an abnormal pap. The results showed something about abnormal squamos cells, which would indicate cancer. The doctor re-tested me a few weeks later and it came back fine. Hopefully you have nothing at all to worry about. |
