Std and HIV/AIDS...n praying to GOD?

my cousin thats had more than 1 sex partner....but less than 7
but even though its lets than that some were unprotected and than some were'nt

recently she went on a church youth retreat and prayed and tried to be forgiven about her addiction to sex with different partners.......she tells me every day she thinks the worst can happen about her havin an STD or HIV she's scared to go to the clinic because she doesnt want to get that bad new that she's positive or has a STD... she tells me she's praying to GOD asking him for forgivness and sometimes she can feel as though she has a clean slate where if there any possible antibodis of HIV or STD's GOD has taken them away from her body but as that happens she goes back at it again with having sex

I want her to stop having sex because i know if she dont stop her life can be ended by a virus
i BELIEVE THAT ALL THINGS CAN BE DONE WITHIN CHRIST?

i think my friend can b healed from any future anti-bodies of the viruses in her body ...
DO YOU THINK THAT GOD COULD HEAL HER IF SHE WOULD STOP HAVIN SEX AND ASK FOR FORGIVINESS

GOD IS REAL SO IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD THEN I SUGGEST YOU DONT ANWER THIS QUESTION THANKYOU

Prayers are great for the soul, but will not "cure" an illness. The first thing is to stop the judgments on your cousin, we do not have the right to pass judgment on others, only God can do that. The Bible say,"Ye, who are without sin may cast the first stone." So what give anyone the right to sit in judgment of others.

Next your cousin needs to get to a clinic and have a full STD/HIV screening. If she has anything and does not get it taken care of there would be a good chance she would never have a child if that is something she wanted later on.

Faith is a great thing, it helps us in the darkest of time, but medical treatment are what is necessary if she had something, not prayer. It is through God's great wisdom that we have medical providers to help the weak, the sick and even the strong.

So yes prayer is great options and I strongly encourage it, but for medical decisions a doctor is the only answer.

honey, contrary to what some people preach, god can't heal stds or HIV. she needs to get tested, she needs to take care of herself, and also, prevent the spread in case she is infected. no amount prayer will take care of this. what she feels is what she convinces herself she feels.

i also suggest you be a little more open-minded. just because someone doesn't believe in god has nothing to do with their take on modern medicine.

What's the question here? once you have HIV there is nothing you can do to get rid of it until there is a cure..sorry GOD can't heal this one.

Ok so your saying that if you believe in god dont answer and if you dont believe in god dont answer...Change your wording....

ok then i wont

look, i believe in god but he or she gave us the right to choose and to face the consequences. praying she doesn't have something is the same as doing nothing and allowing a chance for your friend to get sick. god made Dr's. and gave them the knowledge to cure and treat diseases. yes god can perform miracles but do you think in the big scheme of things when there is so much other things going on that he will be stopping ST D's. when the person who is having the sex can do it for their self by using condoms or abstaining from sex all together.

It has nothing to do with believing in god or not. She had unprotected sex and she were at risk. Her risk is higher as she had several sex partners. I am acaully surprised why she did not use protection.

Anyway, she has to go get tested right away. If she has STD or HIV, then the sooner you start treatment, the better. It is likely that she does not have either. HIV is hard to catch. But she HAS to get tested TODAY. You cannot sit and ask GOD to treat her.
