What is the chance of someone contracting hiv virus while sharing a spoon ( works)? |
i always wanted to know exactly the risk of catching hiv through sharing spoons and cups especially when taking communion. Am assuming that the virus may possibly pass on through saliva contacts if the infected person tooth bled or had gum problem. "Sharing spoons or works" in an HIV prevention context has nothing to do with using spoons to eat with, and certainly nothing to do with sharing communion cups at Church. None, you would have to come in contact with blood. And if you do that blood would have to enter your body trough an open wound on your body. HIV is not carried in sliva. It is carried in blood and sex juices for lack of better words. And plus the virus dies when it hits the air. |
