Does saliva contain HIV virus?

If so, smooch may transmit HIV and cause AIDS....isn't it?

Saliva will not spread HIV.

http://www.sfaf.org/aids101/transmission...

Essentially, most bodily fluids can store the virus if one is affected. Although blood and sexual secretions are most prominent.

But it's usually transmitted through any oral activity (kissing, oral sex, etc.) when both have an open wound in the mouth therefore blood may be exchanged.

However, HIV has been found in saliva and tears at very low quantities.

Saliva, tears, sweat and urine can have the virus in them, but in such small concentrations that nobody has ever been infected through them. However, if any body fluid is visibly contaminated with blood, the risk of transmission exists.

Saliva contains VERY small traces of HIV. It does not contain enough to transmit the virus through kissing etc. There has only been 1 reported case of HIV being contracted through "making out" and recently they have even doubted that kissing was the real method of transmission in this case.

Saliva contains VERY small trace amounts of HIV. HIV can not be transmitted through saliva. Kissing someone who has HIV would not be a risk unless you both have bleeding gums or open sores in your mouths.

Yes saliva is a bodily fluid but you would have to drink a liter of it to catch HIV and even then you probably wouldnt.

No, it dosent. So when you share food, kiss, a person with HIV, its okay. So long as he/she dosent have any cuts in the mouth where blood can flow out, now that's dangerous

no not a smooch. you need to have an open wound so if you deep kiss and both have sores in your mouth- yes it is possible.

Not normally. A few years ago there was a case of a man contracting HIV from a bite from another person.

it does not, you may kiss all the aids infected people you please, just let that be all

no, the HIV virus is spread through bodily fluids such as blood or semen.

Does not contain.

Blood does.

No, but I don't recommend it

nope. only blood n secretions from vagine, penis etc
