Is it just me, or is the government using viruses and illnesses for population control?

First it was HIV, which mostly targeted gays and blacks, then Ebola, which is still mostly targeted on blacks, then the bird flu (smallpox) targeted on Chinese people, and now the swine flu!, targeted mostly on hispanics! Is this more than coincidence? Please be open about this topic.

Um i understand the symptoms of these, thank you. It's not just in my head, because the government does hide alot of **** from us and this wouldn't be a surprise. It's okay if your guys disagree or agree but please keep your shitty sarcastic answers to yourself.

The government does not have to engage in this behavior because mother nature will do it all by herself. There are two ways mother nature controls populations; starvation, and disease. Perhaps it is no coincidence that these events are happening in areas where there is a heavy concentration of people who do not have the infrastructure to maintain industrial nation's levels of hygiene. They also tend to live in very close proximity to animals, thereby increasing the chances of cross species transmission of disease.

I do have to admit this most recent flu is a little suspect only in the fact that it has DNA from 3 different species and is not all that deadly. Species jumping is truly not that common, so to have 3 in one is very rare. Secondly, species jumping also tends to produce more virulent and deadly strains, which this one is not all that deadly. Two un-natural events in one instance, very odd. My guess is we have something to do with this, in one way or another, but what, who is to say at this point.

Ebola is a disease that people can get from drinking water that has not been cleaned, that's why it is prevalent in third-world countries

Bird flu, like swine flu, is a mutation of the flu virus. This happens every year, and that's why we have to get a different flu shot every year.

Swine flu is no more harmful than the regular flu and can be treated with good personal hygiene and adequate health care systems.

Viruses don't care what the color of the host is - they only infect them. The only people who agree with you are conspiracy theory wackos... sorry. Ebola is found in Africa so it affects mainly the people living there, most of whom are black. The bird flu was found in Asian countries so it mostly affected Asians. The H1N1 virus affected Hispanics because it seemed to start in Mexico. If an outbreak of the flu starts in Utah does that mean it is targeting Mormons? Viruses aren't smart enough to make decisions like that and the government isn't good enough to create viruses that target specific populations by their ethnicity. If it was do you think we would have sent troops into Iraq when they could just have easily sent in the flu?

1) Hard to target - there's no way to know a virus won't spread into a pandemic.
2) Research into any of these diseases has never yielded any intentional human role in creating the disease or a conspiiracy to spread it. That would be quite a big news story.
3) Aside from HIV, these diseases have not actually killed that many people. it would be more effective to subsidize cigarettes and sponsor ads for them, for example
4) Again, what would be the point?
5) The diseases themselves generally don't target one race or geographic area. WHere a disease begins is generally where it has teh greatest effect because it takes time to spread to other areas, during which time precautions can be taken and people can be informed.

No. It has to do with where the virus started!
HIV is prevalent in gays because of how it is transmitted.
Of course the Ebola virus and HIV affected blacks. It started in Africa!
Bird flu started in China, therefore it affected Chinese!
H1N1 started in Mexico, and affected Mexicans!
It is not a secret government operation to make the whole world white!

Stop worrying, It wouldn't be smart for goverment to use viruses or illnesses to kill people. If it ever got out of hand it could wipe the human race out. Even if they have the vaccine or cure for their virus or illness, it could mutate or change into something else that could be worse, and the goverment wouldn't be able to stop it.

Swine flu targets everyone like the other virus' you mentioned, but people in Mexico are not particularly clean or up to date on their shots, if ever they had them. It may indeed be a simple test though if anyone not poor died from it.

I have yet to see anyone from the First world die of it.

For example, by the far the biggest group suffering from HIV and AIDS are women.. Very few Chinese people have suffered from 'bird flu' about 20 out of a population of 1.4 billion.

This is interesting since there were stories and reports all over that had someone surveying grave sites to determine how many bodies they could fit per acer, as if they were expecting some great loss in population.

Actually its the Chinese government which does it every Christmas. They soak viruses on crape paper and wrap it around those little oranges you enjoy so much. You ever wonder why so many people get sick at Christmas?

Swine flu won't kill you if proper prevention is taken. It came from mexico where sanitation is low. My advice is stop watching tv. You plus everyone else will be fine. And that 23 month old baby, nobody will give any new info on why/how he/she had really died.

These are all coincidental as none of these started over here and were originally located in China, Mexico and africa. The government wouldn't secretly kill people in another country, both to avoid an international incident and because it may not even reach over here

If these diseases were really being "used" for population control, they are not doing a very good job. There are over 5 billion people on our planet--probably close to 6 billion. I think the idea that any of these diseases are being used for population control is the most outrageous thing I've ever heard. HIV originated as a virus in a monkey. HIV did not "target" a particular population. It was just noticed first in gay men because the risk of transmission through anal sex is higher than risk of transmission through any other sexual activity. And BTW, the population in which HIV is increasing the most is now heterosexual white women. If you think you are immune because you are not gay, and are not black, you are mistaken.

Also: Bird flu and smallpox are not the same thing. They are completely different.
