CAN HIV SURVIVE IN A DRYER?

ok um...does the hiv virus survive in a dryer or does it die due to massave heat???lets say u dry ur clothes in a dryer that had a piece of gum stuk in it and the gum was chewed by a hiv positive person will the dryer kill the virus or will it get all over my clothes?

Very little can survive in a dryer. A dryer will kill ticks and crabs, and THOSE are tough buggers.

The HIV virus can't really survive 10 minutes exposed to the air. It is pretty delicate.

HIV viral counts in saliva tend to be low to begin with. Chemicals in saliva usually kill most HIV viruses.

Getting HIV viruses all over your cloths won't actually do much harm. The virus can't penetrate your skin.

You are pretty safe.

OH NO, YOUR CLOTHS ARE RUINED!!!!

Just kidding, HIV cannot survive outside the body for more than 20 min I don't think unless perhaps its incubated somehow with moisture and heat, and beyond that saliva does not transfer HIV. It is very very very very very unlikely to get HIV even from kissing someone *ferociously, I mite add*

If you were ever bitten by someone with HIV I would Immediately cover the wound with bleach, and go seek medical attention. Bleach Kills HIV, It's almost the cure, except it also kills many other vital organs, and damages many of the ones it may not ruin :-).

Also don't snort bleach, or smell concentrated chlorine, or anything like that.

HIV can not be spread through saliva.

It wouldn't matter if HIV got on your clothes.

But like the other guy said, it can't be spread through saliva.
