Can HIV virus pass through condoms? i watched a programe the other day and a women who got raped while pregnant got diagnosed with HIV as a result of her being gang raped her baby was fine but she said on the programme that her and her husband always used condoms when they had sex which she had to have lots of help before resuming sexual relations with her husband.. he was on the programme with her unfortunately he now has been diagnosed with HIV and they were raising awareness so again teaching us that nothing is 100% safe If the condom is latex, then it is highly unlikely. While condoms technically don't provide 100% protection, they do come close to it. Yes. Condoms are not 100% protection, although chances are EXTREMELY slim.
