If HIV virus present in spermatozoa? |
the concentration of HIV virus is verry large in semen That's a good question. I know the virus is present in bodily fluids, but is it actually in the sperm themselves? I'm not sure, but I'd like to know! I doubt you'll find out on YA, you'll have to do a little more thorough research with people who might actually study stuff like that. Any exchange of body fluids contain the HIV virus of a person infected. Yes I spoke to one of our docs in the ER who informed me that there is no virus in the sperm but the virus arrives in the victim via red blood cells picked up as the semen rushes thru the urethra. The red blood cells are present in the lining of the urethra, bringing nurishment to the cells of the urethra and removing waste products. These red blood cells then infiltrate the victims body via rectal tears from intercourse or perhaps into tears in the mouth from a toothbrush. |
