What is hiv-2 window period ? |
What is hiv-2 window period ? To my knowledge, the seroconversion time (window period) is no different than for HIV-1. The probability calculations applies even more strongly to HIV-2. Since fewer than 1 in 1000 HIV infections in the US and most industrialized countries are HIV-2, you can take the 1 in 100 million and reduce the odds 1000-fold, i.e. to 1 in 100 billion. |
