What is the actual window period of hiv iam tested with elisa hiv after six month in intial expose the result?

what is the actual window period of elisa hiv test . i will tested with elissa 1 &2 in mumbai two times 01/01 /07 and 03/06/07 result is negative this conform to i have not hiv

Out of all people who become HIV+
75% test positive (seroconvert) by 17 days
95% test positive by 2 months
over 99% test positive by 3 months

~ people who have preexisting conditions that result in impaired immune function (radiation, transplant anti-rejection drugs, advanced symptomatic HIV disease) may take asw long as 6 months to seroconvert and therefore test positive.

to get a over 99.9% accurate result, you should be tested, 6 months after your last sexual encounter. This is because the way they test for HIV is by looking for the antibodies that your immune system will produce if you have HIV. If you can't wait that long, you can do the test after 3 months, and it is still pretty accurate...about 95-99%.
