Can u get hiv by eating a smal amout of blood with a a small cut and picking your nose?

i was raised for 4 years in india where the city where i lived in had 1% of all people with hiv. I am worried that when i was little, a person purposely put blood into his blood into my mouth. I was a nail biter so i might have put the blood into my mouth. I am extremely scared. Also, i found a gift card on the ground which was stained with blood and i touched it. I also picked my nose 30-40 minutes later. I have not experienced any fever lasting more than 1 week in my entire life and didn't experience any of the hiv acute syndrone all together at the same time. I fell healthly but i am not sure if i am infected with hiv. I am extremely scared and please only tell me corect answers and don't be lenient. I need to know now. Btw im 13 and i don't want my parents to know because they would think that it was riduculously silly. I need a professionals's help.

Actually, I was over exaggerating. I believe that someone had put some blood into my mouth. I'm an overthinker. However, i have around 20 irelatives in the area which i lived in. My grandpa, 70 years old, was also a nail biter and lived his entire life tehre, what was the chances that a person would put blood into his mouth when I actually tought that they woulad put in my 1 year at that place. My grandpa would have 70 more times the risk of me. He is extremely healthy and has no health problems, same as which all of the relatives. I was thinking too much as i do not remember that someone would put blood into my mouth. Acutally I don't have any cuts or sores in my mouth. I clearly do not belive that someone could have put blood into my mouth intentionally. I think that some blood from an open wound could have came on my fingers, and then i would have put it my mouth after 2-3 hours after the blood came out the body. I have only experienced 1 or 2 flu viruses in my entire life. i have o

From what you described, the chances of you having contracted HIV are very, very slim! Getting someone's blood in your mouth in tiny amounts, with no open sores in your mouth, would most likely NOT transmit the virus to your bloodstream. You should consider sharing these concerns with your parents, maybe they could help, or would be willing to take you to the Dr. to talk with him/her about it. Try to relax, I am sure you are completely healthy!

no worrys your not hiv + that nothing to worry about but if i were you wash your nose that you touched the blood with water very gently though very good ..and the person who purposely put blood in yur mouth what i can say is idk about that if it is a litle bit then dont worry you are good if ALOT IF HE PUT A PINT then DAMN you have a chance of hiv positive.

how long ago from now did all this happen? if you were infected you would probably know by now. have you had a doctors appointment checkup thing since then? when they prick your finger with a needle and get blood, they test it. The tests would catch it you have HIV.

If only 1% of the population had it, and only those two incidenses with blood happened, your chances are incredibly small.

you can not get hiv if you just got blood in your mouth, unless you have a cut in your mouth. your cold is probably from the pollen in the air and the start of summer.

I doubt you have it, but just get tested, it's the smart thing to do. Asking us will not give you the answer to whether or not you have HIV.

just go get a blood test
better tell your parents and be safe then keep quiet and die.
i thought that sexually transmited diseases can only be sexually transmitted, but im no pro lol

It's very easy to get tested. Just go get a blood test. Ask a doctor or at Planned Parenthood or something.

HIV can be transmitted through blood, and so there is a small possibility. The only way to know is to get a doctor to test!

no only through bllod or seman transfusion.

Go get tested! Its the only way to be sure.

"If you drink the blood of a person who is infected with HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and other bloodborne diseases (whether they are showing symptoms or not), you would indeed be at a significant risk for these diseases. The more blood you drink, and the more times you drink another persons blood, the greater the risk of infection."
-Rick Sowadsky, MSPH, is the senior communicable disease specialist for the Nevada State Health Division AIDS Program.

Get tested. And in the future, when in doubt, get tested.
