Are there any side effect when living with hiv? |
Are there any side effect when living with hiv? so i have HIV and there are some side effects that i have noticed... Often, there are no symptoms soon after infection. Once the CD4 count (cells that help fight infection) drops, people may experience many symptoms, including flu-like symptoms, colds, fatigue, and weightloss. Medications can help increase the amount of time between diagnosis of HIV and diagnosis of AIDS, but they do have side effects, which I am not very familiar with. All I know is that hiv attacks the immune system and a lot of people with it die from a respiratory infection/disease (I think it is a tyoe of pneumonia). So i'm not sure but I would guess that someone living with hiv wouldn't have too many symtoms until they get the respiratory infection (an opportunistic infection). Possibly get sick a lot?
