What do you do if a close friend don't have the will to live. The person has stop taking meds.?

This is a very close friend that has HIV and don't have the will to live, right now he is healthy but wants to die. I have tried everything to change his mind. He say he is not depress, he just want to die. I have never been close to someone that didn't have the will to live. He won't seek counseling. I has charged me not to tell a soul.

Just be there. U don't have to say anything at all. Sometimes a person's presence is enough to let someone know that you value their life. Why don't u guys try doing some activities you have never done before. Maybe, one of these activities will interest him. Go on some trips and live them up to the fullest. Good luck and I will pray for your friend.

I can understand where he is coming from, he has HIV. Most likely he understands his mortality and doesn't see a point in living the rest of his life, as he will die young anyway. You need to consider this, is prolonging his life just prolonging his suffering? In the end he will make the choice that is best for him, and i'm not saying to stop trying to help him, but if he doesn't want help getting too involved might ruin your relationship with him. You need to understand in these circumstances it should be his decision.

if you cant tell a soul then why you asking but

you need to keep him positive give him reasons to live
force him meds or slip them to him
if its pills crush them up ad put in drink of food and if liquid just mix it in water if the color changes just tell him its ____ juice
or ______ soda

His telling you not to get help was his way of telling you to get him help. If he COMPLETELY wanted to die, he would not have told you that he did. He would have just gone out and done it. Still, he is obviously in a lot of pain and you cannot trust him not to hurt himself. Get him some help, boy.

my friend was mental and couldn't afford meds., we found him hanging in a tree, neck stretched like 3 feet. sad.
u can only force meds i guess.
