HIV.... I'm freaking out.?

Okay so here's what happened.... I'm 18.. and I was at my sisters and I got so drunk... (just having a good time).... and i do not remember anything that happened that night. Well my sister has a room mate and they say i had sex with her... unprotected. I do not remember. And i would have never had sex with this girl unless i was hammered out of my mind. Her status is unknown. When i say that i mean as far as i know she doesnt have diseases or hiv. but i'm still freaking out cause she kinda has a bad rep and i guess gets around. But im so scared.... ever since it happened i can't stop thinking about it... i'm so nervous.. I had a hangover the next day and felt kinda sick then i was told that and it made it worse cause i'm so nervous about it and stressed out i still feel a little ill. I know that part is all in my mind but i know i'm clean.... as for her i'm not sure. i'm 18 and she is 23... and I am going to boot camp for the marine corps on december 14th. am i just freaking out for nothing? well the reason why i'm so scared is because my aunt died of aids.. and i know how serious it is.. idk what i would do if i had it... i'm already enlisted in the marines and everything.. the intercourse was not long if there was any at all... what are the chances she actually has HIV and i got it from her? we live in a small town and i don't know anyone who has it around.. idk im just freaking out.... going crazy about this.

please i'm looking for serious answers not lectures. I'm not even drinking anymore... or anything ugh

There is always the potential for becoming infected with an std if you have unprotected sex, We cannot even begin to guess the status of the other person or the possibilities of what diseases she may or may not be harboring. You need to get tested at the first opportunity for all stds. The blood test for HIV should be done, although to be safe, you'd have to have it repeated in three months.

Just calm down and understand your mistake in getting that drunk. Get tested as soon as possible and have protected sex every time unless the goal is to create a baby with a wife. Don't worry. Life is short and your young. This is not the worst thing that could have gone on.

Get a blood test now

Chances are if she has been a friend of your sister's for a long time, she would have known if she had HIV and distanced herself, somewhat, from this friend. I also believe she probably would have mentioned it to you or to some family member.

Keep your head together and wait until it's confirmed you have HIV before having a nervous breakdown. What's wrong with asking the person you had sex with if she is HIV positive? If I had been in your position, I would have already had a very long talk with her to find out.

BTW if she did have it and didn't tell you, but still had sex with you, she can be charged with attempted murder. If you die of AIDS she can be charged with your murder. There are some strict laws regarding "careless" HIV-AIDS patients.

You are more than likely okay. Have you asked your sister about this girl? She IS your sister's roommate, so she should know a little bit about this girl. Also, you can go to the health department and get an HIV test done.

BTW, thanks for what you are about to do for OUR country! You sound like a great kid who made a mistake- we all make them! You sound like you learned from it, so keep your head held high and get yourself checked out. Just b/c this girl has had multiple partners, does not mean that she is HIV positive.

Good Luck!
