Will children with HIV who live past 5 have to take drugs threw out there life to live ?

Yes, my best friend was born with HIV, she wasn't expected to live past five, she is now 21 and has had to take medication since birth. There are only so many pills someone can take, after a while the body becomes immune to the drug and its time to switch to a different medication. HIV is not a well known subject yet, the scientists have many discoveries that need to be made. Since there are only a few medications out on the market once all types have become immune the person will most likely progress to AIDS and eventually die from an illness like pneumonia.

Yes they will have to take it for the rest of their lives. As treatment improves over the course of years I am sure the regimen will get easier for children and adults to take. I don't keep up on the subject, but I do know people can live much, much longer than they did 20 years ago with the disease. It is almost a treatable disease as long as the drugs work on that person.

Yes. The AIDS/HIV cocktail (assortment of drugs) is significantly more advanced than it was just a few years ago. Plus with all the alternative medicine craze, people are finding new ways to boost their immune system.
