Is this really true about HIV and New Yorkers?!!!??!!!?

I found these shocking statistics! Are they actually true?!?!
"Approximately 1 in 70 New Yorkers is infected with HIV, but the proportion of people in different groups who are infected varies widely:

1 in 40 African Americans.
1 in 25 men living in Manhattan.
1 in 12 black men age 40-49 years.
1 in 10 men who have sex with men.
1 in 8 injection drug users.
1 in 5 black men age 40-49 in Manhattan.
1 in 4 men who have sex with men in Chelsea."

Yeah.... That's not true.

To be honest, I'm a bit wary of statistics. They only target specific populations, and we must keep in mind that there are several HIV-infected individuals that are unaware of their status. Many people do not get tested for HIV, for various reasons (no medical insurance, finanical reasons, denial, etc.).

So the statisitcs only pertain to those who HAVE been tested and have had their status recorded.

Dr. Stefan Lanka, Virologist, Microbiologist of Germany has proven viruses are not the cause of disease, and in fact many so called viruses they claim to cause disease, don't even exist. It's all fear tactics used by governments and medical industry to control people and make money on medicine.

Star - they do HIV tests for free all over the city, I had to go with a friend as moral support once
so the only people who aren't tested are the ones who don't want to know
