What happens when you get swine flu?

Does it go? when you take the medicine what happens? do you have to live with it? what causes death? my cousin is HIV+ if she catches it is she more likely to die?

Its just like a repiratory flu so you like cough up your lungs and you have a hacking cough, and lots of people in Mexico have died but if you are in Canada you are pretty much safe.

Question #4: The cause of death is usually due to a pre-existing medical condition. It might be overall poor health, a respiratory condition, an ongoing active infection, a poor immune system, any number of things. Generally some condition that predisposes one to flu complications and I'm talking about any type of flu, not just swine flu. Most people with the pre-existing conditions are already aware of the risks.

Question #5: Your cousin should already be aware of the risks to which her HIV status exposes her. She not only has an ongoing infection but she may have a poor immune system as well. She may not be "more likely to die", per se, but she would certainly be predisposed to flu complications and would need to take extra precautions. This is something she can discuss with her doctor.
