Where is the God when...?

Wgere is the God when thousand of people die in a genocide, or in a war? where is the God when thousand of innocent kids are starved and a lot of them die for this reason? where is the God when thousand of criminals are still unpunished and some of them live like that all life long? Where is the God when a good person, with a good life, even he is a beliver and a church-goer, he still die of cancer, or HIV? and so on....

This article will solve the query...

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God.

Asking one of his new students to stand, he says, "So you believe in God?" the professor asks accusingly.

"Absolutely, sir," came his quick reply.

"Is God good?"

"Of course," came the confident reply.

"Is God all-powerful?"

"Yes."

The professor continues by saying, "My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill But God didn't do
anything for my brother. How is this God good then?"

The student is silent.

"So, you can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?"

"Yes."

The professor smiles and continues. "Well, then, is Satan good?"

"No."

"Where does Satan come from?"

"From God."

"That's right," the professor agrees. "Tell me son, is there evil in this world?"

"Yes," the student replied.

"So, evil is everywhere, isn't it? God made everything. Is this your view?"

"Yes, sir."

"So who created evil then?"

The student remains silent.

"Do we not have sickness, immorality, hunger, murder, war, genocide, hatred, and ugliness of all kinds in the world today? All these terrible things exist. Don't they?"

"Of course," sir, the student answers.

"So, who created them?"

The student again chooses silence.

Continuing, the professor says, "Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen God?"

"No, sir," comes the student's firm answer.

"Tell us, young man, have you ever heard your God?"

"No, sir."

"Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God, at all, for that matter?"

"No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't."

"Yet you still believe in Him?"

Yes, I most certainly do," the student said enthusiastically.

"According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that?"

"Nothing," came the student's quick answer, "I only have my faith."

"Yes, faith. That is the problem science has," the professor concluded.

The student remained stolidly standing during the sounds of fellow students attempting to stifle their laughter. After a moment of silence, the student says, "Professor, is there such a thing as heat?"

"Yes."

"Is there such a thing as cold?" the student asks.

"Yes, of course there is," the professor replies.

"No sir. There isn't."

The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this unanticipated turn of events.

"Sir," the student continues, "you can have lots of heat more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat, or no heat but we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it."

There is total silence in the lecture theatre.

Still the student continues. "What about darkness, professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?"

"Certainly," the professor announces confidently. "What is night if there isn't darkness?"

"Excuse me, sir," the student says respectfully, "but you are wrong again. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly or perpetually, you have nothing and that is called darkness. Isn't that correct, professor? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?"

"So, what is the point you are making, young man?"

"Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed."

"Flawed? Can you explain how?"

"Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, that is, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity, chemical interaction, and magnetism, but has never been seen, much less fully understood by any of the greatest scientists in the world.

Furthermore," the student continues, "to view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it.

Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?"

"If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do."

"Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?"

The professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.

"Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?"

The class is suddenly cacophonous.

"Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?" The still standing student asks; swinging his arm in an arc to encompass the entire room.

The class is now openly laughing.

"Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?" The laughter subsides and the student pauses to hear an answer. "There is none and thus No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?"

The room is dead silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. After a moments thought, the professor says, "I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son."

"Thank you, sir, for being honest. The link between man and God is FAITH and without faith, it is impossible to please God

God has an ultimate plan that was put into place ages ago, but people still have free will. If we all followed his plan, we would not be individuals, we would be robots.

a question i have asked myself all my life, but something hit me. god gave man free thought and free will. the ability to use our minds in a way we see fit. unfortunately, man does not always use that free will for good. we wage war on each other, we kill, rape and destroy each other. i'm not christian but i know a passage in the bible that says "children will suffer from the wrongs of their parents." this is exactly what is happening in the world today. the wrongs of the past are catching up with us, and our wrongs will catch up with our children.

where is god? i don't know. but we cannot expect god to fix the mess that man made. god is not at fault, man is. hunger, starvation, unpunished criminals, that is all from the laws that man created, unfortunately. god should not be responsible for the mess that we made on earth.

my 2 cents worth!!!

God is right where He's always been...everywhere. God puts protection around individuals and even societies but sometimes those individuals or societies decide they don't need God's help and He removes the protection. People are finding out just how much God was in their lives. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are way above our thoughts. If we understood God completely then He wouldn't be God. Just because people suffer doesn't mean God isn't there. All He wants is for every human being to repent of their sins and turn to Him. He's not willing that any perish but that all come to repentance. Remember the old world was destroyed by the flood and only Noah and his family were saved from that. Why? Men had gotten so bad and continued to get worse until God had enough. He was going to destroy ALL mankind until He saw Noah and that he was a righteous man. Innocent children and babies died because of the disobedience of the stupid adults. Our sins and our wrong deeds will find us out. We all have to die, good or bad. I don't know why some people get horrible diseases and die from them and wicked people live 100 years and die of old age. King David didn't understand why this happened either and questioned God about it. Just know the righteous and holy will be rewarded by God and inherit eternal life. The sinner will perish and be judged and spend eternity away from a loving God and be punished for disobedience. Our God is a loving and caring God and cares about the smallest matters in our lives. When we put our trust in Him and allow Him to reign in our lives, it is the greatest thing we can experience. Have you made that decision and asked Jesus into your heart? If so, great. If not, why not today? He will hear you. Email me if I can help you in any way.

That's not God's job, to heal our physical woes.
Many of those problems are caused by and fixable by humans..
God's job is to be a resocurse and a source for US to advance in wisdom and knowledge so that eventualy WE are able to squash our own ills

I asked this when my mom was sick with cancer. I even took up ignoring God for awhile, which ended up being the most miserable and depressing time of my life. God is there to give each individual help and strength to get through tough times. These horrible things happen because of the curse of sin on mankind and people who cause things like genocide are not doing it to perform the will of God. God tries to use these things for our good to bring us to Him. He is in control of everything. After a year and a half of fighting her cancer, my mom died. She had fought hard with a great faith in God that He would heal heradn be there with her. She always said she would not have been able to got through that without her faith in God. God did heal her; she is in heavewn where she is no longer sick or suffering. I learned alot about myself and how much I need God to help me get through difficult times.

WHAT KING SAID!

May God someday open your blind eyes to His love and truth so that you may know Him.

God gave life to man, he also gave them free agency.
That means, man can choose to do or be whatever.
Having cancer does not mean is a punishment, being rich does not mean is a reward.
One man's action can affect all.
Do not blame everything on God.
Earth life is short, Eternal life is forever.
All will be answer and fullfill, at Christ's 2nd coming.

Do not listen to the retards that drone about "free will" They cling to it as a pitifull excuse for the state of the world because that is all they have, even though they don't understand it. If there was a god, "free will" is no excuse for the suffering of innocent people, and no unbiased person could possibly argue otherwise. The fact is there is no god.
