Du you support the Human Genome Project? |
The Human Genome Project is about cloning, curing diseases such as Cancer and HIV/AIDS, and helping humans to live longer. Just remember that the soldiers that attacked Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid, were enhanced by this project. So I dont support it cause Im not sneaky enough, like Snake, and would likely get shot by the super human terrorists. So put that in you pipe and smoke it! Yes I support it! I think that this would help humans in the long run. Of course I support it, one would be idiotic not to support it. It will further our knowledge of health, medicine, and science. No, it's dumb. God never intended for humans to know. The Human Genome Project has nothing to do with cloning. You may have heard of "cloning genes" and thought this was cloning. It is not. Cloning genes is just the process of inserting a piece of DNA into bacteria in order to make the millions of copies of the DNA needed in order to read its sequence of ATCG's. I believe that anything that can cure diseases such as cancer and AIDS is a wonderful thing. These diseases have affected too many people for too long, and caused way too many deaths. This project is an exciting new frontier for humans to combat some major medical problems. This could potentially open up new possibilities of finding cures, or at least causes, for other devastating diseases, like cystic fibrosis and breast cancer, because they can now target and find the gene responsible for these diseases through this project. This would be especially valuable if it gives us insight into a way to repair mutated DNA, since damaged DNA can't repair themselves, so when they do reproduce, they reproduce in the mutated DNA form. This could possibly also cause a mutation in the cell's mitochondria, which is the "powerhouse of the cell". Mitochondria are responsible for converting nutrients in the body to an energy yield molecule called ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) to fuel the cell's activities. Some cells have more mitochondria if they need more energy, like muscles, for instance. i argee with chirstine b |
