I want pples pont of veiw about things going on in kenya good and bad for school project? |
would like to know all points of view like things that going on what have been kenya's success bad point's like aids hiv how they live how they work and the goverment deal with the childrens school work After 24 years of dictatorship Kenya finally emerged from the oppressive regime in 2002 after a coalition of political parties defeated the ruling KANU party. Tremendous gains have been made economically but the greatest challenge still remains corruption with remnants of the former regime finding their way back into the ruling elite. Kenya's success has been the elevation of the country's status from less developed to a developing country. This was announced through the media by the govt's spokesman in the recent past.Kenyans are also seen having an improved democratic climate as exuded by how multipartism has matured;people can freeely air their views. On HIV and AIDS,the country's cases are now on the decline, due awareness programmes and the introduction of ART drugs. From a novice point of view whos travlled alot...Kenya is a very modern and forward country, and it would be a lot more IF the crime rate went down. I think kenyas main downfall is CRIME and CORRUPTION, if that was conquered, the peopel can help to reduce...maybe even eliminate virus's such as aids. And also help reduce poverty. In a nutshell, Kenya has alot of potential, and after South africa is the most happeneing country. I know alot of peopel including me who would come work there, with children, elderly people as well as peopel whocan not read and write, but the crime rate, and stories iv heard keeps me away. As part of kenyas good points, or should i say extremely great points, iv been on safari, and the peopel of kenya are very warm, and welcoming. And that is rare. Kenya has alot to offer to the world. I'm dating a guy from Kenya right now, and he's fantastic:-) Very good view on life, speaks very good english (They speak it there, in addition to Swahili). He speaks a dialect of Swahili called Kikuyu. His father is Maasai, which is a very strong tribe with lots of tradition, including hunting lions and drinking blood. They're having a lot of trouble right now in slum areas of the capital (Nairobi) with a rebel sect called the Mungiki. But all this is very over-generalized, try reading some of the links below for your project: search in the wikipedia.org and looking for those political things and read on your own |
