What do you think...tell me now...

grave problem aint it?? i dont care abt what others think...but i think the people abv who were defending india...are just plain arrogant...too proud to accept that their country is dangerous...i things keep going on like this....India myt not exist...

Here you are only speaking of india. I agree with the above but each country has some pros and cons.
There are countries worst than India which are facing utter poverty.

can you tell me in which country are tourists totally safe? I am not sure of any country where in a single tourist was not robbed?? cheated???

AIDS... yes. but look at the number of people in India... it is also the biggest population in world...

2.5 million out of billion+ is nothing. i do not say it is good.. but yes, it is not bad.

Do you check news of other countries.. they also have same problem.

Well, by stating these I do not want to say that India is very good and clean but at the same time, i say that there is nothing to be felt ashamed of.. if indians think they can fix it.. then it is not a problem at all.

to add more...

hotmail was invented by an indian.
many indians work as scientists in NASA.
many indians are doctors abroad
you know of sunitha williams, kalpana chawla.. all these and many more are achievements.

Every country is dangerous.
India i can say is the most mismanaged country.

Like already said, every country has its own share of problems and similarly solutions too.
1. Tourists: No country in the world can guarantee the safety of tourists. Neither can India. But still the number of tourists visiting India have jumped by more than 3 times since last year. Why?

2. AIDS: Agreed that India has a big problem of AIDS. But I have never heard of any TOURIST contracting AIDS in India. So as far as tourists are concerned, there is no harm to them atleast.

3. HIV: In a country with a population of 1.1billion, the percentage of people with HIV comes to around 0.25%. I agree that the number alone is pretty high. But I suggest that you compare percentage wise the HIV ratio with any other developing country in the world will be very much tolerable.

4. Safety of Kids: For your knowledge, kids are more abused by pedophiles in the developed country as compared to a developing country like India. Over here family traditions and cultural values are considered with very high regards. No country in the world has that high regard for as given by Indian people to their elders who reciprocate equal feeling of love and care for youngsters.

Just by reading or browsing through petty news on the internet, any country cannot be tagged as "most dangerous country of the world". Moreover, after reading your article, I would even request Yahoo to ban a user like you for circulating material of hatred.

Today India is the largest democratic country in the world. Indian economy too is growing at a rapid pace. Had this not been true, Foreign Investors would never have tapped India. More and more people of foreign origin are coming to India and settling here. But comparatively, not even a handful people leave India for good. The amount of Indians going on tours abroad have doubled from last year.

You need to clear your already empty head before say such crap !! As far as people who think Indians are arrogant, all I can do is forgive them as they do not know what they are saying.

Certainly not. Better visit Pakistan, Afghanistan, Central Asian & African countries first. Check their data and compare with India. India is still better considering its size & volume of populace..

It seems you have done a good research. I suggest you do the same with your country as well and you will be surprised.

It is my duty to defend my country and I will do it irrespective of what others call it - arrogance or otherwise.

If you dont like India - just dont visit it.

Keeping with our Indian tradition, I wish you all the best, even though you do not think the same way.

Lol you gotta be in Detroit for 2 weeks then you will change all these links!

I have interacted with Chicago and New York law force and come across files detailing out the cases they have to deal on a daily basis. Killing a old man because he had only 2 dollars in the purse, raping the baby daughter because the husband was angry with wife, a 12-yr old student bringing a gun to school and shooting his classmates.... the sickening nature of the criminals there will stun any one in the world. And most of the criminals are well-to-do people with access to all kids of luxury that an average Indian doesn't have.

I almost feel glad I'm back in India where at least the crimes make sense... at least here it's mostly due to poverty and ignorance.

Try looking at the USA for unsafe living. I spent a year in India, with my daughter and had absolutely no problems and found many friends. Her in the USA, I've have found many problems and have few real friends.

We just hide it better.
