Can a disabled person with hiv be evicted from his family owned aprtment for which he pays rento?

my elderley mom owns my house i live in-my sisters are on the deed as owners and one has power of attorney-can myself and my wife-both disabled-be evicted .i filed a restraining order on my sisters son-he violated it -and is on the run.he was convicted and pled guilty of assaulting me and on probation.he had threatened to kill me-which got the r/o.this is an act of revenge on me begun by my sisters and i have noone to help me-any lawyers have an answer of help?

Is your mother's name still on the deed? If not, she doesn't own the house. Only the people whose names are on the deed are the owners.

Do you have a lease? Are you following all the requirements (legal) that are in the lease, such as paying rent on time? If not,or if you are not paying rent or don't have a written lease, the owners can file to evict you.

write to the govt attorney about your case. this sounds very disturbing. how can you be evicted? take legal action soon. approach a lawyer soon.

If your sisters own the house and one has power-of-attorney, any person living in the house can legally be told to leave the premises regardless of their HIV status.

Did you sign an agreement, or lease? I think that you would be safer to leave the whole situation behind. If memory serves me, in some states, if you have resided in a place for 2 weeks, you are considered living there, and can't be thrown out. Good luck. Call around for a pro bono lawyer. They have to do a certain amount of cases for free each year in order to keep thier license.

tell the court that you have paid the rent, and

2.

say that this is a retaliatory eviction for the reason that [tell the story above] and

3.

that they are discriminating against you because of your disability.
