Does anyone know any good books about drug users,abuse .HIV etc...?

back in my country i read a book called"pamietnik narkomanki" it was somethign like a journal of a girl that was addicted to drugs and she wrote her story how she was living with that

yesterday i was doing a little research and i found only 2 books

"go ask alice" and "ana's story:a journey of hope"

are there any other books im going ot library today nad i need a book to do a bokk report for my english class

"Candy" by Kevin Brooks
This one is about a prostitute and it has to do with drugs and things of that matter.

"Crank" by Ellen Hopkins
This is book is kind of written as if it were a bunch of poems. It's also about drug use.
If you like "Crank" then you should get "Glass", "Burned" and "Impulse" too, by the same author.

"Smack" by Melvin Burgess
I haven't read this one yet, but I hear it's really good.

"Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen
This one was really good. It's about a girl in an abusive relationship, and there's a little drug use in there too.

but "April Fools Day" by Bryce Courtenay is about his sons battle with AIDS

matthew flinders cat by bryce courtenay. its abt a homeless alcoholic. theres heaps of stuff goin on in this book, its not all abt his addiction but there is a section where he is in rehab detoxing its really interesting how its described- how he experiences the withdrawals etc

There's a book I read a few years ago called The White Horse. I can't remember who wrote it, but it's about a girl addicted to heroin, I think.
