Hiv Numbers? |
Exactly how many people live in New York City, and how many are infected with hiv? There are at least 75,000 reported cases of HIV/AIDS in New York City. (New York officials are now required to report the numbers.) The population is 8,143,197. that is confidential information=you will never know how many people in NY are infected with HIV there are so many of them one, it is against the HIPAA laws to give out that information. And two, not everyone who is infected even knows since not everyone can afford healthcare in "the richest country in the world" so no one will ever really know. and three, why do you even want to know? Unless were the census bureau who the hell cares.? We need to love one another for the people we are and not the color or nationality we are. And for the people who have aids in new york, more power to them for not letting the disease take over them and let them die. Those people are human just like we are. I don't care and you shouldn't either. |
