How long will a child live when he/she is born with HIV and what are the signs you will see? Well, the child will be more susceptible to common childhood infections than other children (chickenpox, measles, ear infections, etc.), and many of these infections can be devastating in the HIV positive child. as long as someone loves and cares for the baby, a natural life. with medication and better understanding, a child can have a happy life with HIV. Well it depends how advance the HIV is. Maybe it will be a few years. There is medicine they can give to the mom to help prevent the baby from getting HIV. The child will get fever, he or she wil throw up. The child will be sick alot because there immune system is not working to fight the bacteria and germs. If the child was born with HIV was because the mother had it so the moms doctor had to know the baby was at risk, and if the baby was born with HIV the doctor would have told the parents. Hello, babies with HIV/AIDS can survive pretty much just like you and me. With the medications they now have and better ones discovered everyday these sick babies have just as much chance as any baby. i know someone that is 21 and he was born with HIV and is as healthy as I am and got married and had a baby and the baby or his wife are both HIV negative. Don't mess around with Online answers! This is a child's life you're talking about. TALK TO A DOCTOR, FOR THE SAKE OF THE CHILD!!! |
