If hiv person takes drugs regularly ,can he live lifetime, if he just start from hiv ? The drugs now available to persons with HIV extend their lifetime quite a bit over what it was before the drugs. Most work to suppress HIV from developing into AIDS... and can stretch this time period out for 20-30 more years. However, there is no cure for HIV and the person will always have it. We all live a lifetime. It is just shorter for some... Please just make sure you listen to the doctor. We knew something was wrong with my brother in law because he kept losing weight. One night he was in the hospital and called to tell us he knew for only a month that he was HIV positive. Later that night we found out it was full bown AIDS and then two days later he died. The doctor said that my brother in law could have lived a long time on the right meds. It was just not caught in time. |
