what are some early signs of HIV? Early signs are sore throat, fever, swollen glands and rash. These symptoms clear up without treatment in a few weeks. People can live long times with HIV and some people don't. it's all up to you and how well you are willing to take care of yourself. The average is 8 years (depending upon the strain you contract). Basically there are no definite "early signs" of HIV, sometimes people have a flu like illness several weeks after infection but lots don't, and a flu like illness can be LOTS of different things and is only very rarely HIV. The disease has to be quite far progressed before you start to show symptoms DEFINITELY associated with HIV. |
