HIV lifespan....I'm reading a lot of articles talking about how HIV+ people can live into old age but....?

But.. I then also read many articles saying that HIV+ people can live "at least 10 years". Well geez which is it? !0 years is a far cry from the articles that want you to believe that HIV can be thought of as a Chronic Disease like diabetes that you can live for a very long time with. 10 years isnt a lifetime, 15 years isn't even a lifetime into old age. Why such conflicting articles? I know its very much dependent upon the person, but with statistics you'd think they could tell us closer than that.

Since HIV and HIV drugs are all fairly new, no one has lived into old age yet. There are people out there now that have lived 20 years with the virus. Only time will tell how medical science will continue to improve their lives and possible even get rid of the virus in their bodies completely or at least prevent others for becoming infected by it.

If you are HIV positive and continue to use drug, take exercise, you will be cured completely in 10 years when the real drug is invented. I believe, check more at http://www.positivesingles.com... Report It

I know it is crazy. I did research on the same subject. The info I kept finding was that the life expectancy is the same as people without HIV. I don't get it either. Definitely quality of life is not the same.
