How long can a person with HIV live provided is on ARV'S.? as long as G-D wants the person to live , I've taken care of a lot of people with HIV and from what I've seen, these people live long and full lives as long as they take their medicine and maintain a healthy lifestyle |

Hello: I am going to answer your question as best as I can based on the literature out there including information from the CDC. I treat a lot of HIV/AIDS patients in my practice. Because HIV is... Life expectancy is relative to where you live. In the US where we expect to live in our 80s it is not likely that an HIV infected individual will reach that mark - but they could very well make it... Because HIV is a virus, it is technically not living. But, I know what you mean. Along with the previous answerer, I do not know what you mean by lab temperature. A virus cannot "live" on... HIV does not survive well outside the body. Therefore, HIV cannot be spread through casual contact鈥攕uch as sharing drinking glasses or by casual kissing鈥攚ith an infected person. HIV is not transmit... To be on the safe side allow up to 24 hours after the substance it is in (blood, saliva, semen etc) has dried out. ...In 1981 when I first heard about the gay plague I worried. I worried about the people I loved and I worried about myself since we didn't know how it was transmitted. I wanted the people I love... Since HIV and HIV drugs are all fairly new, no one has lived into old age yet. There are people out there now that have lived 20 years with the virus. Only time will tell how medical science will...
