How long can HIV live in a puddle of semen outside of the body? maybe 20 or 30 seconds ew. I am afraid to ask...but why do u need the answer to this particular question??? i dont know, let me check(whew, i had aids before, god, that was the worst two weeks of my life. i hope i NEVER get that again ) only a few seconds More than a few seconds.. I would call it more like 5-10 minutes. The virus dies when it comes in contact with oxygen. Same rule for a pool of blood from a person infected with HIV/AIDS. I would still be careful when handling fluids from a person that has tested positive. |
