How long does HIV live outside the body when its in blood? |
Just curious because some people say it gets killed off once it hits air.... but then that doesnt make sense because what about people that say you can get it from sharing needles, toothbrushes, razors? HOw does that makes sense? Can someone please explain! Hiv has never been cultured in a lab because it dies in minutes. Take a needle out of one person stick it in another The HIV Virus cannot survive outside of a host organism, The fluids that transmit the virus must go from the host organism to an uninfected person immediately. When the virus was discovered in 1983 in France, it was done close enough to the cadaver so as to preserve the lymph node that was taken out of the cadaver. |
