Can HIV live on the hand? |
say some gay guy had his secretion on his hand and you shaked it and your hand had cuts on it . Would u get HIV (assuminmg the guy had HIV) neva mind if he was gay Surprisingly, HIV is not a very virulent virus- it dies pretty soon after hitting the air. It would be very unlikely for you to contract HIV this way. There are much stronger bugs out there for you to be worried about, like Hepatitis! You could get HIV, but I think it wouldn't be a very big risk. If someone has open wounds on their hand and they are not covered they should know better then to shake ANYBODYS hand. Yeah, Never mind if the guy was gay. Sexuality is not a reason for transmission of HIV... its the exchange of bodily fluids carrying the virus that transmits the virus. HIV does not live outside the body, the minute it hits the air the chance of the virus surviving outside the body is greatly reduced. Understanding how HIV is transmitted is good to know... We can't live in fear... just know how its transmitted so we can protect ourselves |
