How long do one live with hiv/aids?

doctors told me one can live with hiv/aids as long as there life spent, if they are not re-infected.

I have a friend who got it in the 80's (through the hospital-- blood transfusion) and he has been living a productive life since then. As long as he takes his medication and takes care of himself, he does quite well.

I don't think anyone really knows the true answer to this question. Some people get it and they die very quickly. Then some people like the basketball player Irving "Magic" Johnson get it and they continue to live 20 years after being diagnosed.

It's hard to say what someone's life span will be. It all depends on how well they take care of themselves and if they have the money to purchase the treatments.

Cheers

until you die

A lot of things factor into how long one could live with HIV/AIDS. If you catch it early and take meds faithfully, the longer the span. It may also depend on the strain.
