Research has shown that people deemed 'HIV positive' and those with AIDS are deficient from a master antioxidant called glutathione. Put in simple terms they don't have regular antioxidant capacities as healthy individuals. [1] This has been shown over and over in the medical literature.

So the best thing your friend can do is eat a diet rich in antioxidants. Fruits are one of the best sources of antioxidants. I would suggest your friend AVOID foods that are made with vegetable oils. These oxidize easily in the body and further deplete his antioxidant defenses.
